John Koenig
Executive Vice President

John Koenig has returned to Aisin World Corp. of America, effective July 1, 2010. In his new position as executive vice president and officer, Koenig will oversee Sales No. 3, Aftermarket Sales, Life & Energy, and External Affairs. He reports to President Masayasu Saito and will work from AWA offices in both Plymouth, Mich., and Torrance, Calif..

A former Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. executive, Koenig originally joined AWA as a marketing and planning consultant in 2002. In 2006, Koenig was brought on board as AWA vice president of sales and marketing, a position he held until 2008, when he was asked to join Mitsubishi Motors North America as executive vice president.

"Fundamentally, our success is based on the quality of the people on the AWA team, which is solid, confident and comprised of positive, hard-working people, who have contributed to AWA's great reputation. I will do my best -- internally and externally -- to help President Saito and the entire AWA team maintain our standing as a leading Tier One supplier."

Koenig earned a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University, and an MBA in Management from Wayne State University. A member of SAE International and SEMA, Koenig is also a member of the board of directors of the Torrance, CA. South Bay YMCA. He resides in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., with his wife, Cindy.
