Problem
The Mott Foundation wanted a new Web design to present clear and comprehensive information about their grant programs, publications and ongoing activities. They also wanted to showcase and dynamically be able to recognize the work of the Foundation's grantees.
Solution
An intuitive and scalable Web site to be utilized as an information portal for their programs, grantees and local community. Web application features include comprehensive on-line grants database, extensive GIFTS (grantee database) integrated grantee Extranet, on-line publications ordering & fulfillment and dynamically distributed content management system. The Mott Foundation Grantee Toolbox Extranet is integrated with the Foundation's GIFTS Grantee Information Database. The Extranet site allows grantees to complete the Foundation's grant-processing and administrative forms and to check their grant status online.

The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation is a private philanthropy committed to supporting projects that promote a just, equitable and sustainable society. It supports nonprofit programs throughout the United States and internationally. Grantmaking is focused on four programs: Civil Society, Environment, Flint Area and Pathways Out of Poverty. In order for the Mott Foundation to stay on the cutting edge of new technologies, they opted to use IAS's services to upgrade their web site and create a new way to organize the delivery of their grant information online.
